On Wednesday, December 20, 2017, contractors will overlay South College Avenue and South Main Street at the East 32nd Street intersection with a new asphalt roadway surface. Please note through traffic will not be permitted in this intersection and detours will be in place.

WHERE: South College Avenue, South Main Street at E. 32nd Street
WHEN: Wednesday, December 20th – 8:15 AM to 5 PM, weather permitting
This work is part of the 2017 Street Maintenance Program and will be completed by Larry Young Paving, Inc. The $1.65 million contract was awarded by Bryan City Council on March 28, 2017, and also includes brick paver replacement on Copperfield Drive and University Drive as well as additional overlay work on South College and South Main from Villa Maria Road to West 28th Street, Congress Street, Randolph Avenue, and Rountree Drive. In addition, safety improvement projects approved through the Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) pilot program will be completed under this contract.
Drivers are encouraged to utilize alternate routes or allow extra travel time during the construction period. In addition, drivers are asked to please use caution and pay special attention when traveling through the work zone.
