One of the important functions of the Texas Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities (GCPD) is to make recommendations to the Governor and legislature on issues related to Texans with disabilities. House Bill 1317 (84th Regular Session) charged the GCPD, in coordination with disability advocacy groups and disability-related organizations, to create a report on the status of accessible parking within our state for persons with disabilities.
The Committee has created an online survey in order to gather information about the experiences and opinions of users of accessible parking to help shape the GCPD’s parking recommendations and our report to the Texas Legislature.
The survey seeks to gather information on what you think are the major issues, needs, and concerns on accessible parking. We are inviting people with disabilities, family members and caregivers, veterans with disabilities, and professionals in the field of disability who use accessible parking to take the survey here.
The survey is anonymous and takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. It will be available online until October 9, 2016. Thank you for your participation in this important survey. We value your experience and opinions.
Please contact the Texas Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions or need assistance taking the survey.
