Stealth Dorm Subcommittee Invites Citizens to Public Meeting

Date: September 20, 2017

Time: 5:30-7:00pm

Location: Bryan Municipal Office – 300 S. Texas Ave

Topic: Public information meeting and Q&A session concerning proposed ordinance amendments to address land use and structures commonly referred to as “Stealth Dorms”

Based on continuous public feedback collected in the past nine months, including public meetings and survey submissions, the Stealth Dorm Subcommittee of the Planning and Zoning Commission, proposes for approval of a multi-phase approach to the impacts of Stealth Dorms.

Please join the Stealth Dorm Subcommittee on Wednesday, September 20 from 5:30-7pm at the Bryan Municipal Office Building (300 S Texas Ave).  All concerned citizens are welcome to attend and hear a brief presentation by the Subcommittee, followed by the opportunity to ask questions and review the Subcommittees findings.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will make a recommendation to City Council regarding the proposed text amendments following a public hearing at their special meeting on Thursday, September 21 at 6:00 pm. If the Planning and Zoning Commission votes to recommend approval of the proposed text amendments, then the City Council is tentatively scheduled to consider the amendments during its regular meeting on October 10, 2017.
