Beginning Friday, April 21, 2017, contractors will close the southbound, right-hand lane of North Texas Avenue between East 22nd and East 23rd Street to accommodate storm sewer pipe replacement as the rehabilitation of portions of East 23rd Street and North Washington Avenue continues. This temporary lane closure will remain in effect through April 30, 2017.

Approved by Bryan City Council on January 10, 2017, this Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) project includes the reconstruction of the concrete road surface, replacement of storm sewer pipe, and installation of new ADA accessible sidewalks along a portion of East 23rd Street and North Washington Avenue. Brazos Paving, Inc. began the first phase of reconstruction on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, and it is expected this project should be completed on or before July 1, 2017.
Drivers are encouraged to utilize alternate routes or allow extra travel time during the construction period. In addition, drivers are asked to please use caution and pay special attention when traveling through the work zone.
