Beginning Monday, November 13, 2017, construction crews will install a new storm water drainage line along South College Avenue near the intersection of Sulphur Springs Road. To accommodate the construction, Sulphur Springs Road will be closed at South College Avenue November 13th and November 14th. All lanes of traffic along South College Avenue are expected to remain open for the duration of the project.

Awarded by Bryan City Council on May 11, 2017, this $2.8 million infrastructure improvement project will be completed by Larry Young Paving. This work is part of the Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) project for improvements to South College Avenue which includes the replacement of traffic signals; the installation of new water, sanitary sewer, and storm water lines; new underground telecommunication conduit; and reconstruction of the roadway.
Drivers are encouraged to follow the posted detour signage, utilize alternate routes, and allow extra travel time during the construction period. In addition, drivers are asked to please use caution and pay special attention when traveling through the construction area.
