The City of Bryan Fleet Services Department is a vital part of the City’s Support Services.
We’re staffed 50 hours per week via split shifts, allowing us to help you
from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. every Monday – Friday
Our mission is to plan, direct, coordinate and manage an effective maintenance, procurement and replacement program for the City’s fleet inventory within limits of the City’s financial resources. We also provide advice and information on fleet requirements through a constant evaluation of fiscal resources, man-power, programs, facilities and equipment.
Fleet Services is responsible for all the scheduled maintenance and non-scheduled repairs on more than 525 vehicles and equipment of various types and configurations. These include all City-owned fire apparatus and ambulances, refuse and sewer trucks, construction and infrastructure maintenance equipment, and all standard vehicles and police patrol vehicles.
Fleet Services is also responsible for repairs on small engine equipment, including saws, weed trimmers, mowers, pumps, etc., and we perform all welding and fabrication tasks for fleet vehicles and equipment.
Fleet Services staff consists of:
- 1 Division Manager/Supervisor
- 2 Lead Service Technicians
- 5 Journeyman Technicians
- 1 preventive maintenance technician
- 1 Support Technician
