
Mayor Gutierrez’s Letter to Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District Board
Mayor Gutierrez has sent a letter to the Brazos Valley Groundwater Conservation District, urging the board to take action to protect the region’s groundwater.
The City of Bryan’s Youth Advisory Commission and Teen Court are both looking for teenage volunteers who are interested in making a difference in their community this school year. Through either of these programs, volunteers will gain valuable experience tackling real-life problems, earn community service hours and make lifelong connections.
Teen Court
- Term runs during the school year
- Can be from any school district
- Grades 9 – 12
Volunteers are needed to serve as attorneys and jurors for Teen Court, a real court proceeding through City of Bryan Municipal Court for youth with a first-time, class C misdemeanor.

Youth Advisory Commission
- Term runs during the school year
- Must be enrolled in Bryan ISD or private/home school in Bryan city limits
- Ages 13 – 18
Commissioners assist in solving problems related to Bryan’s teen population in a program that promotes positive growth and development.
Applications must be received by Friday, Sept. 13 at 5 p.m.
