Officer-Involved Shootings: Bryan City Marshals

As required by Articles 2.139 and 2.1395 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, which became effective Sept. 1, 2015, law enforcement agencies shall report all officer-involved injuries or deaths caused by the discharge of a firearm, and law enforcement agencies shall report all injuries or deaths of peace officers in the performance of an official duty caused by a person who is not a peace officer while discharging a firearm.

These changes to the Code of Criminal Procedure were a part of HB 1036 of the 84th Texas State Legislature.
