3:00 p.m. – Bryan Commerce & Development, Inc., Board of Directors Meeting

The Bryan City Council also serves as the Board of Directors for Bryan Commerce and Development Inc., the city’s economic development arm. The meeting is held in Room 305.

Public Hearings

• Rezoning request to change the zoning classification from Residential District – 7000 (RD-7) to Planned Development District (PD) on 0.41 acres of land on the northwest side of E. Villa Maria Road between Wayside Drive and South Texas Avenue.

• Rezoning request to change the zoning classification from Innovation Corridor – Retail Services District (IC-RS) to Planned Development District (PD) on 8.18 acres of vacant land located at the northeast corner of Jones Road and W. Villa Maria Road.

Consent

• Resolution establishing an increase in the Brazos County Pet Licensing fee for animals within the City of Bryan.

• Approval of a refund of penalties and interest in the amount of $156.80 paid to the City of Bryan for delinquent ad valorem tax.

Statutory

• Change Order No. 7 for the South College Avenue Phase One Reconstruction Project (W. Villa Maria Road to Carson Street), for a total deduction to the contract of $15,520.03.

• Resolution authorizing city staff to submit a Texas Water Development Board Water Supply and Infrastructure Grant application to the Texas Water Development Board to request grant funding for improvements to the City of Bryan’s Water Production System totaling $21,000,000.

• Construction contract for the Low Service Pump Station Backup Generator to C.F. McDonald Electric, in the not to exceed amount of $938,969.

• Contract with May Recreation Equipment & Design, L.P. for the purchase and installation of replacement playground equipment for Villa West Park for $467,855.

• Contract with ShadePro, LLC, for the installation of shade structures at Sue Haswell Memorial Park, Tanglewood Park, and Greenbrier Park for $244,005.

• Consideration of a proposed Sourcewell Purchasing Cooperative contract with CXT, Inc. for the purchase and installation of two pre-fabricated restroom facilities for Travis Bryan Midtown Park for $342,440.65.

• Right-of-Way Abandonment request to abandon a 0.197-acre portion of unimproved public street right-of-way along Louis Street near Dixie Street.

• Approval of a resolution to authorize the Mayor to execute two Local On-System Agreements with TxDOT for the Trafalgar Traffic Signals Project.

• Construction contract for Trafalgar Traffic Signals to Brazos Paving, Inc for a not to exceed amount of $1,517,612.31.

Regular

• Consider adoption of an ordinance authorizing the issuance of City of Bryan Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates of Obligation, Series 2026.

• Resolution to consider prepayment of BTU Series 2017 Bonds.

• Consideration of a replacement Tax Abatement Agreement (2026) by and between the City of Bryan and RELLIS Campus Data and Research Center, LLC.

• Adoption of an ordinance to temporarily close N. Houston Avenue between E. 26th Street and E. William Joel Bryan Parkway for Brazos County Courthouse Annex Building construction.

• Consideration of an ordinance amending Chapter 118, Traffic and Vehicles, of the City of Bryan Code of Ordinances by regulating timed public parking spaces within Downtown Bryan.

• Consider appointments of individuals to serve on the Greater Brazos Partnership and the Texas Municipal Power Agency.
