Freezing Weather Expected

Freezing temperatures are expected this weekend, beginning Friday night and lasting into early next week.

Trash Collection Delayed

All trash collections will be picked up the day after your regularly scheduled day this week. For example, if your container, brush or bulky collection is normally Monday, it will be collected on Tuesday.

Municipal Court Updates

City and Court offices will be open. The following accommodations are being made:

  • Any payments due on Monday, Jan. 26, will be accepted as timely on Tuesday, Jan. 27.
  • Any person scheduled to appear for a court docket on Monday, Jan. 26, may reschedule without penalty by contacting the Court no later than Tuesday, Jan. 27, for a new court date. 

Closures

The following winterization closures will take place:

  • Restrooms throughout the parks system are closed until conditions allow reopening.
  • Water fountains are off until end of the winter season.
  • Lake Bryan closed from 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, until 9 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27.
  • BCS Libraries closed Saturday, Jan. 24, and Sunday, Jan. 25. 
    • Carnegie History Center closed Monday, Jan. 26. 
    • Mounce and Ringer Libraries will open at 3 p.m., Monday, Jan. 26.
  • Bryan Aquatic Center closed Saturday, Jan. 24, through Monday, Jan. 26.

  • Opens at noon on Saturday and closes at 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
