Public Input Needed for Bryan’s Comprehensive Plan Update
The City of Bryan is updating its Comprehensive Plan and is asking anyone who lives, works or visits Bryan to take part in a Community Survey. The survey will help guide how Bryan grows during the next 20 years.
A Comprehensive Plan sets priorities for development and public investment. It guides decisions about land use, housing, transportation, parks, economic growth and community services. The City of Bryan updates this long-range plan every 10 years, which is the standard practice in the planning industry.
Bryan’s current plan, titled Blueprint 2040, was adopted in 2016. Since then, the city has experienced changes in population, economic development and infrastructure needs. Updating the plan ensures it reflects current conditions, community needs and long-term goals.
The survey takes about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. It includes questions about community vision, growth, mobility, neighborhoods, quality-of-life amenities, services, demographics and mapping. A Spanish version is also available.
Anyone interested in taking the survey or learning more about the Comprehensive Plan can visit bryantx.gov/CompPlan to participate and stay informed throughout the update process.
