Summer Pool Hours Announced, Including Expanded Hours to Accommodate Improvements at Henderson Harbor

Pull out the swimsuit and sunscreen! The City of Bryan is making final preparations for the summer pool season, which kicks off Monday, May 25, with Slide Into Summer at Bryan Aquatic Center. Pools will be open May 25 – Aug. 9, with various hours at each facility. 

Parks and Recreation offers multiple aquatics programs throughout the summer, including swim lessons, certification courses, Barracudas Swim Team and Junior Lifeguard. For more information and to register, visit the Pools & Aquatics webpage.

Recreational Swim Hours, May 25 – Aug. 9

  • Bryan Aquatic Center: Tuesday – Sunday, 1 – 7 p.m.
  • Sadie Thomas Pool: Monday – Friday, noon – 5 p.m.; Saturday – Sunday, 1 – 7 p.m.
  • Henderson Harbor: Closed for the season

Henderson Harbor Summer 2026 Closure

Henderson Harbor will be closed for the summer 2026 season due to necessary repairs required to ensure the safe operation of the facility. 

To help accommodate this closure, hours at Sadie Thomas Pool have been expanded for the season.

Operating hours will be Monday – Friday from noon – 5 p.m., and Saturday – Sunday from 1 – 7 p.m., an increase of 25 open hours per week.

Planned work at Henderson Harbor includes repairs to underground piping and cracks in the foundation, as well as replacement of the pool’s filtration system. Repairs are estimated to be completed by mid-August.

We understand Henderson Harbor is a valued part of summer for many families, and we appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as these essential repairs and improvements are completed.

In addition to Sadie Thomas Pool and the Bryan Aquatic Center, residents also have free access to city splash pads throughout the summer season.
