Even as Bryan has experienced substantial population growth, the Bryan Police Department reports continued positive crime trends in 2026, building on a significant long-term reduction in reported crime.

The City of Bryan’s property tax rate will be unchanged for the next fiscal year after approval by the Bryan City Council. The property tax rate will be $0.624000 per $100 valuation, which has remained steady since Fiscal Year 2023, when it was lowered. Bryan’s property tax rate has not increased since Fiscal Year 1999.
