Celebrate the Grand Opening of Legends Event Center’s Sand Volleyball Courts
Join us for the grand opening of the sand volleyball courts at Legends Event Center on Saturday, March 9, from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. The new outdoor amenity to Travis Bryan Midtown Park includes four NCAA-approved, lighted courts and a terraced viewing area with synthetic turf and sail shade structures.
Busy sports tourism season attracts 25 events to Bryan this spring
Bryan has become a popular spot for sports tourism, and thanks to our state-of-the-art facilities, there’s no offseason.
Legends Event Center Boosts Local Economy, Attracts Tourists
Since its opening, Legends Event Center has attracted more than 36,000 tourism event attendees and generated more than $10.8 million in total economic impact for the local economy from tourism oriented events, with more than $7.2 million of that coming from brand new events to the community.
New outdoor amenities are coming to Midtown Park
On April 11, Bryan City Council approved a $5.1 million construction contract for new outdoor amenities to Legends Event Center and Midtown Lake. The funds were already included in the overall budget for Travis Bryan Midtown Park.
New recreation and entertainment facility is coming to Travis Bryan Midtown Park
At their special meeting on Nov. 14, the Bryan City Council approved a ground lease to SMBG Bryan, LLC to construct a multiuse recreation and entertainment facility on 5.6 acres in Travis Bryan Midtown Park along the southwest shore of Midtown Lake near the intersection of West Villa Maria Road and South College Avenue.
Legends Event Center Grand Opening is Saturday, Dec. 10
Legends Event Center’s grand opening is set for Saturday, Dec. 10 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and will feature a variety of free activities, games, performances, food, and demonstrations on uses of the 122,000+ square-foot facility.
Improvements continue at Midtown Park
With just two months left before Legends Event Center is set to open its doors, residents passing by Travis Bryan Midtown Park may notice some changes happening at the park. The construction fencing around the park is being removed this week, but that doesn’t mean the work is complete.
Legends Event Center will be training home of Houston Skyline BCS volleyball club
Legends Event Center is excited to announce that it will be the training home for the new Houston Skyline BCS volleyball club. This partnership is the first announcement of what is to come when Legends Event Center opens in winter 2022 in the heart of Travis Bryan Midtown Park.
Legends Event Center opening only months away
Bryan residents will only have to wait a few more months to take their first steps inside Legends Event Center at Travis Bryan Midtown Park. The city-owned facility is on track to open by the end of 2022, supply chain and weather-permitting.
