The City of Bryan was recently honored by the Computer Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) and the Public Technology Institute (PTI) as a winner in the 2021 PTI Solutions Awards for its Cyber Warrior cybersecurity program.
The City of Bryan and MetroNet today announced a Memorandum of Understanding that will soon bring MetroNet’s 100 percent fiberoptic internet, TV and phone services to businesses and residents. The MOU will allow MetroNet to invest more than $XX million to the community and bring an additional choice of fiber to the premise directly to Bryan residents and businesses.
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the City of Bryan’s official incorporation on Nov. 29, 1871. That’s 150 years of history to celebrate, and we are taking the opportunity to tell the stories of how Bryan has grown – through the people, places and things that shaped the community.
The City of Bryan recently received a $10,807 matching grant from the Historical Commission to map and conduct a monument assessment of the Grandview Cemetery and Freedman’s Burying Ground at the Bryan City Cemetery.
The facility is a 630 square foot meeting facility, located where the original 1900 Bryan railroad depot once stood. The structure is reminiscent of the original 1900 railroad depot, which lasted almost a century on the site. The Gloria Stephan Sale Park Depot is available to rent seven days a week.
