Residents in south areas of Bryan near W. Villa Maria Road & N. Harvey Mitchell Parkway may see smoke emanating from various areas beginning the week of Oct. 7, as contractors with the City of Bryan perform smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 9, and continuing throughout September, contractors with Water Services will conduct intermittent smoke testing of sanitary sewer lines. The testing is weather-dependent and may be postponed if it rains.
Contractors with City of Bryan’s Water Services will perform smoke testing of sanitary sewer lines intermittently throughout July and August, starting Monday, July 22. Testing is dependent on dry weather and may be postponed due to rain.
City of Bryan water customers with a cell phone number listed on their account will be auto-enrolled into a new text-messaging notification system, TextPower, on June 3.
Some residents may see smoke emanating from northeast Bryan as field crews from the City of Bryan’s Water Services perform smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines.
Due to the ongoing drought, elevated temperatures, and excessive line breaks, the City of Bryan is asking its water customers to voluntarily limit their amount of water usage for outdoor watering.
