Coulter Airfield Manager Brandon Reid Named Texas Airport Professional of the Year
Reid’s efforts have helped make Coulter Airfield a model general aviation facility in Texas — and a standout among facilities nationwide.
The City of Bryan is proud to announce that Coulter Airfield Manager Brandon Reid has been named the 2025 Airport Professional of the Year by the Texas Aviation Advisory Committee. The award was presented at the Texas Aviation Conference on May 6 in Denton, Texas, and Reid’s achievement was recognized by the Bryan City Council at its May 20 meeting.
With more than eight years of service as airport manager, Reid has been instrumental in improving operations, expanding services, and elevating Coulter Airfield’s role in the aviation community. His leadership has led to significant facility upgrades, enhanced safety protocols, and improved customer service.
Reid oversees all aspects of Coulter Airfield’s daily operations, including infrastructure maintenance, regulatory compliance, and coordination of major improvement projects. Under his direction, the airport has added 50,000 square feet of leasable hangar space, created a new meeting area to better serve fly-in clientele, is undergoing taxiway and runway rehabilitation, and consistently maintains airport grounds to the highest standards.
“This is a prestigious and well-deserved honor and a testament to Brandon’s reliable leadership and dedication,” said Kevin Russell, managing director of economic development. “His work ethic and vision continue to elevate the quality and reputation of our airport. We appreciate everything he does for the City of Bryan and the aviation community.”
In its presentation of the award, the Texas Aviation Advisory Committee stated: “Running a successful airport takes more than just managing infrastructure — it requires leadership, vision and dedication to build a thriving aviation community. For this year’s honoree, these qualities are evident not only in the physical improvements taking place at the airport but also in the culture that defines the airport experience. From the moment visitors and colleagues arrive, they are met with professionalism and hospitality that has become a hallmark of this leadership.”
