
Thousands pour into town for Games of Texas July 31-Aug. 3
The 2025 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s Summer Games of Texas kicks off Thursday, July 31, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 3, at premier venues across College Station and Bryan.
The 2025 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s Summer Games of Texas kicks off Thursday, July 31, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 3, at premier venues across College Station and Bryan.
The Olympic-style festival features approximately 8,000 amateur athletes of all ages from across the state competing in a variety of events, primarily swimming and track and field. Other events include archery, boxing, esports, golf, pickleball, tennis, and ultimate frisbee.
College Station, Bryan and Texas A&M University are hosting the Games for the eighth time, having previously hosted in 1988, 1994, 2000, 2014, 2015, 2018 and 2019. The Games will return in 2026.
The 2019 Games attracted more than 20,000 athletes, coaches, families and volunteers, with an estimated $8.1 million economic impact on the local community.

Daily admission for track and field is $10 per person, or $35 for a four-day pass. Swimming tickets are $7 per person, per session, or $35 for all six sessions. All other events are free.
A clear bag policy will be enforced at all track and field events at E.B. Cushing Stadium. Outside food and drinks, umbrellas, and tents are not permitted inside the stadium.
We invite you to help welcome our athletes and visitors at the Opening Ceremonies on Friday, Aug. 1, from 6 to 8:45 p.m. at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater. Gates open at 6 p.m., the parade of athletes begins at 7:20 p.m., and a fireworks show will conclude the evening at 8:30 p.m. Food vendors will be on site. Visitors are encouraged to park at Post Oak Mall by JCPenney.
Residents in the surrounding area should be aware that loud noises from the fireworks may be heard during the event.
Motorists can expect delays around Texas A&M’s E.B. Cushing Stadium and the Bryan Aquatic Center during the Games, and around Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater during Opening Ceremonies.
