
Thousands pour into town for Games of Texas July 31-Aug. 3
The 2025 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s Summer Games of Texas kicks off Thursday, July 31, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 3, at premier venues across College Station and Bryan.
Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU) is proud to announce that General Manager Gary Miller has been honored with the James D. Donovan Individual Achievement Award by the American Public Power Association (APPA). The award was presented June 10 at the 2025 APPA National Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, recognizing Gary’s exceptional leadership and lifetime of service in the electric utility industry.
With a distinguished 40-year career, Gary has made lasting contributions to public power, including nearly 20 years of dedicated service to BTU and the Bryan community. His visionary leadership has shaped BTU into a more resilient, reliable, and safety-focused utility.
Under Gary’s leadership, BTU has modernized its infrastructure with a comprehensive pole replacement program, major transmission and distribution system initiatives, and strategic undergrounding projects along key corridors, all aimed at strengthening system resilience and reliability. He has also been instrumental in guiding BTU’s energy procurement strategies and generation asset management, ensuring reliable and cost-effective energy for our customers.
