On behalf of myself and the Bryan City Council, I want to speak directly to our friends and neighbors affected by the federal government shutdown.
While we can’t control decisions made in Washington, we can choose how to respond here at home.
That’s why we asked Bryan Texas Utilities to provide temporary assistance for customers who aren’t getting paid during the shutdown.
If you’re a BTU customer and can show proof of furlough or missed pay, your utilities will NOT be disconnected during this stressful time. When the shutdown ends, BTU will work with you to get back on track.
Visit BTU’s website or call customer service for more information.
Thank you for your public service. All of us here at the City of Bryan and Bryan Texas Utilities stand with you.
