Public comments sought for Community Development’s draft 2023 Annual Action Plan
The City of Bryan’s Community Development Advisory Committee will host two public hearings on Thursday, June 8, at 6 p.m. in the Basement Training Room of Bryan City Hall.
City offices closed May 29 for Memorial Day
On Monday, May 29, City of Bryan offices will be closed in observance of Memorial Day and will resume normal operating hours on Tuesday, May 30. Garbage, and brush and bulky collections will run as normal.
South College Avenue Reconstruction Project begins Monday, May 22
The work will require a full road closure to through traffic from West Villa Maria Road to Edge Street. Access to homes and businesses will be provided throughout construction. The city’s general contractor will reach out to each property owner in the construction zone to discuss access. The closure is expected to last until mid-November.
Smoke testing underway in areas of Historic Downtown Bryan
Some residents may see smoke emanating in areas of Historic Downtown Bryan as field crews from the City of Bryan’s Water Services perform smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines. BCS Library System Director wins state award for outstanding services
Bea Saba, Library Director of the Bryan + College Station Public Library System, was recognized at the May 2 Bryan City Council meeting for winning the 2023 Outstanding Services to Libraries Award by the Texas Library Association (TLA).
New outdoor amenities are coming to Midtown Park
On April 11, Bryan City Council approved a $5.1 million construction contract for new outdoor amenities to Legends Event Center and Midtown Lake. The funds were already included in the overall budget for Travis Bryan Midtown Park.

Detour signage will be installed to guide drivers around the work zone. Please use caution if traveling through the area and obey posted signage.
