Drive-In Double Feature Set for May 16
Make plans to load up the whole family and enjoy a drive-in double feature of “Lilo & Stitch” and “Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch Has a Glitch” on Friday, May 16, at Bryan Regional Athletic Complex.
The City of Bryan’s pools are a fun and affordable way to get out of the house and still keep cool in the summer. And they’re not just for kids. Take the plunge into one of the City’s three pools.
If you enjoy the water but want more of a nature feel, look no further than Lake Bryan. The lake provides a great opportunity to swim, fish, and enjoy your aquatic toys. If you don’t want to get wet, there’s miles of hiking and biking trails, and plenty of trees to hang your hammock and catch one of the best sunsets in the Brazos Valley.
Summer is a great time to enjoy the outdoors and be active, but again, it’s HOT! Of course, who says you have to be active outdoors. Neal Recreation Center is a great place to stay active and burn those calories. And it’s air conditioned.
The movie theater is another great place to beat the summer heat during the day. Whether you’re flying solo or with a group of friends, you’ll be able to kickback with your favorite movie snacks and keep cool. Oh, and did we mention that Bryan has an IMAX theater. Not only that, but there’s no better place to watch a movie than The Queen in Downtown Bryan for one of their Thursday or Saturday matinees.
It’s never too hot to enrich your mind. Clara B. Mounce Public Library in Downtown Bryan offers a refreshingly cool atmosphere with tons of awesome books just waiting to be explored. They also offer a summer reading program for children, teens, and adults filled with cool events and cool prizes.
