Thousands pour into town for Games of Texas July 31-Aug. 3
The 2025 Texas Amateur Athletic Federation’s Summer Games of Texas kicks off Thursday, July 31, and runs through Sunday, Aug. 3, at premier venues across College Station and Bryan.
Part of Pendleton Drive to close for road repairs from Feb. 8 – March 17
Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 8, Pendleton Drive will be closed to through traffic from FM 158/Boonville Road to Maroon Creek Drive for road repairs. The existing roadway will be replaced with new concrete in various locations within this closure area.
This area of Pendleton Drive is expected to be closed from Feb. 8 – March 17.
The section of Pendleton Drive that will be closed is from the Residence at Oakmont Apartment Complex entrance/exit (east side of the driveway) to Beacon Heights Drive. Complex residents will be able to use the main entrance to and from FM 158/Boonville Road. Residents using Beacon Heights Drive will have to take Pendleton Drive to Oakmont Boulevard to University Drive. There will be signs posted to direct traffic.

Detour Route
- Westbound traffic will stay south on Oakmont Boulevard; turn west onto University Drive; and then turn north onto FM 158/Boonville Road.
- Eastbound traffic will stay south on FM 158/Boonville Road; turn east onto University Drive; and turn north onto Oakmont Boulevard and continue up to Pendleton Drive.
