Art Hughes

Art Hughes grew up in Bryan and graduated from Stephen
F. Austin High School. Art attended
Texas A&M University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Architectural
Construction in 1968.
Upon graduation, he left Bryan and spent the next 25 years in New Jersey, Virginia,
Florida, Houston (TX), and Colorado.
Returning to Bryan in 1995, Art is glad to be home again.
Art’s career has focused on real estate development and construction. He has had the opportunity to work
with many municipalities, counties, and states in the pursuit of developing and
building residential and commercial projects.
He is a licensed Real Estate Broker with Adam Development Properties,
L.P., and a Senior Project Manager with Madison Construction, L.P.
With more than 40 years in real estate and construction, Art is committed to
serving the citizens of Bryan and making his hometown the best it can be. In addition to his career experience,
Art has served 3 years on the Zoning Board of Adjustment, and 7 years on the
Planning & Zoning Commission since returning to Bryan.
I remember what Bryan used
to be, a vibrant business center and a great place to grow up;
I saw what Bryan was when I came back in 1995, a city that had grown, but still had the feel of “hometown
America”; and I could
envision what Bryan could become, with such committed citizens, and so many
opportunities for redevelopment and growth.
