May is Building Safety Month

Building Safety Month is an international campaign by the International Code Council that is celebrated in May to raise awareness about building safety, and we are recognizing this important month right here in Bryan. Building Safety Month reinforces the need for the adoption of modern, regularly updated building codes, and helps individuals, families, and businesses understand what it takes to create safe and sustainable structures.

Sports Tourism Heats Up in Bryan with 28 Summer Events

The competition is heating up in Bryan this summer! Our city-owned facilities will host 28 sports tourism events from May 3 – Aug. 31. Among these are highly anticipated state championships in girls’ fast-pitch softball, as well as premier basketball tournaments sponsored by Adidas and Under Armour, alongside various other sporting events.

Lifeguard Hiring Events Scheduled for May 8 – 9

Have you ever considered becoming a lifeguard, but don’t know where to start or what it takes? These free, come-and-go events will provide prospective applicants with the opportunity to talk with staff, apply, swim the skills test, and interview.

Bryan City Cemetery Work Day and Quarterly Cleanups

Tiffany Thomas appointed presiding judge of Bryan Municipal Court of Record

The Bryan City Council voted unanimously to appoint Tiffany Thomas as presiding judge of Bryan Municipal Court of Record. She will be sworn in on May 1.
